We used to allow users to post ads without having a registered login account.
If you have posted ads or set up Alert email subscriptions in the past, but don't have a password, you need to create a log in account to become fully registered in order to manage your old ads and existing alert subscriptions. And you need to be fully registered in order to post new ads.
